A visit to Shiner’s new fire station
Fire Chief Billy Petru joined Shiner Rotary for the club’s June 10, 2026 meeting. After the meal, he led members on a tour of the new fire station.
The visit was an opportunity to see the department’s new home and spend time with one of the people helping keep Shiner safe. The club shared its appreciation for the Shiner Volunteer Fire Department and the community that supports it.

Celebrating our scholarship recipients
At the June 3, 2026 meeting, Shiner Rotary welcomed recent scholarship recipients for a chance to celebrate their accomplishments and the opportunities ahead.
The club thanked the students for their involvement in Rotary activities over the years and wished them well in their next chapters. These connections are a meaningful part of supporting young people in our community.

Pancakes, neighbors & a morning of fellowship
Shiner Rotary’s Election Day Pancake Breakfast on November 4, 2025 brought volunteers and neighbors together for a meal and a chance to connect.
In its recap the next day, the club thanked student volunteers, local businesses, and the individuals who joined the gathering. Their participation made the event a shared community effort.
